We currently have a waiting list for placements. Please review the requirements below, and if you meet them and would like to apply, please follow the link. Once we have received your completed application, we will contact you to confirm whether you have been approved to go onto our placement waiting list, along with the approximate length of time you may be waiting.
Please note that we are a women's mental health charity. We offer sensitive support services to women only and as such can only offer placement opportunities to females.
As we are a female only service we only take on female students.

Students must live within an approx 30-minute commute of Chrysalis.
1st Floor, Beacon Building, 25 College Street, St Helens, Merseyside, WA10 1TF.
All placements are conducted in person at Chrysalis. However, some phone and video sessions may also take place from our location. Each counsellor is allocated a room and block of time which will be on the same day and times each week. The earliest session starts at 9 am and the latest 3.30 pm.
Prior to starting the placement, students must have the following in place:
- A valid Enhanced DBS check
- Professional indemnity insurance
- A clinical supervisor
- Photo ID
- Proof of fitness to practise
- Membership with BACP or another relevant professional body
- Commute (we need you be able to get here withing a 30 min time scale)
For diploma students; we currently accept applications from students starting their second year of training, but please note, a start date would be dependent on our placement waiting list and cannot be guaranteed.
Due to the amount of interest in placements with us we are currently prioritising the following educational bodies who we have established links with; Edge Hill, Salford, Chrysalis, Warrington, St Helens, Riverside, Standing Tall, MCTC. However, we will consider others.
