Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Do you support men and if not can you provide organisations that do?

Our services are for females only however we have lots of links with other organisations and would be happy to signpost males for support.

Can I self-refer?

Yes you can self refer by completing the referral form online and emailing or texting it to us. If you are completing the form on your phone you will need to download the Adobe acrobat app which is free.

Is there a charge for your services?

We don't charge for our services, however as a charity we are reliant on funding and donations so we do ask for a small donation for services.

We would never refuse anyone unable to make a donation so if you are experiencing financial difficulties you just need to let us know.

Do you have to live in St Helens to receive support?

We do not have a postcode restriction and accept referrals from anywhere in the UK.

Most services however are in person at our centre in St Helens so you would need to be able to travel here for groups and courses.
Counselling can be accessed by phone or Zoom from anywhere in the UK

Once I have registered how do you contact me?

We receive your referral and aim to contact you within 2 weeks to complete your registration which takes about 10 - 15 minutes over the phone.

Once you are registered depending on the services you wish to access, we usually contact people by text or by email. We aim to keep paper to a minimum so will only send out post if there are no other available options.

What is the minimum age  you support from?

We support adult females aged 18 and over. There is no upper age limit.
